Client Testimonials

Jamie has been an amazing asset in our ability to provide the right care and has been instrumental team member when she takes on one of our clients. The value she brings through communication and allowing our program philosophy into her approach with our clients creates the continuity that we seek in a partnership. I have seen her create multiple schedules for our clients needs and deliver on each request from myself and my team. Her ability to help clients find personal drive around problem solving skills has been fantastic. This has helped the client buy in to the process rather than approach their life like a checklist where they just check the boxes. She approaches every facet of our clients responsibilities and environment to help create balance, consistency, and transparency with their support team. Jamie truly cares about the quality of life for those she works with and her willingness to work down in the trenches shows her value to us and the client.

In the last six months, I have witnessed my adult son’s sustained progress in navigating life challenges while simultaneously constructing goals to advance meaningful engagement in family, social and professional life.

Throughout this time, and as his life coach, Jamie has steadily provided personal insight, equanimity, professionalism, and candor – all beacon lights for a holistic, transformative process. In my experience with other consultants – e.g., private counselors, educational and/or behavioral support programs – she has no peer.

Working with Jamie has helped save my career and improved my home life. I walk away from our meetings with a confidence boost, mantras to keep in mind, and not just a plan for my week but tactics for actually sticking with the plan.

Jamie doesn’t just operate on the surface. She’s willing to go deep with you, down into the chaos that you don’t dare look at. And then, without judgment, she’ll guide you back out in a way that infuses you with hope.

I’m nowhere near “cured” or “fixed.” That’s not a thing. I still have the same brain that struggles with being organized, following through, and tuning out “the noise.” I still battle with negative self-talk. But my regular appointments with Jamie have, without a doubt, made those crippling problems a little less severe, a little at a time.

Jamie has been working for several months with my son who is building a healthy, independent life after completing a treatment program.

He returned to school and work, but has needed help organizing his life and prioritizing his goals. Jamie has been a tremendous support for both my son and myself.

She has worked patiently to help him create and maintain a schedule, manage his financial obligations, prioritize his mental health and recovery and to continue the process of becoming an independent adult.

HIs executive function skills were challenged over the past few years, and Jamie has supported the development of these skills.

One of Jamie’s gifts is the ability to instill confidence in her clients through helping them feel the success of their own efforts. She is supportive, consistent and extremely responsible.

She has also counseled me, and has encouraged me to create a relationship with my healthy, adult son. A relationship, which underscores my deep love for him while giving him the independence to manage his own life. I recommend Jamie without reservation!!

At the age of 45, I was diagnosed with ADHD. I learned that two of the most common symptoms were the inability to “Organize” ones life and the environment around you (your desk, garage, closets, day planner, files and anything else that piles up and requires organization). The second symptom is “Hoarding”, or the inability to throw away most of the useless items in your closets, drawers or file cabinet that you have collected (and spent a lot of money on) over many years.

I also learned that most of the stress in my life was caused by these two symptoms. I was determined to learn the skills necessary to manage and control them. That is when I learned of Organize by Design. I called and spoke with Jamie. I told her of my inability to organize and that it was a symptom ADHD. I asked her if she was familiar with ADHD and if she had any prior experience in working with others who also have ADHD. She assured me she did. I explained that I not only needed a professional to clean up my clutter, but more importantly, teach me the skills to organize. Jamie suggested that we set up a time so she could assess my situation.

After the first meeting, I was impressed by her compassion and her ability to look at a person’s situation and develop a plan that works best for you. After the first meeting she broke our session into small parts; three to five hours at a time, so you don’t feel so overwhelmed.

With these new skills, I am able to keep ahead of the game. I have applied these new skills even in my business and other situations that require being “organized”. I would not hesitate to recommend her services to any one who is in need of a little help getting organized; as a matter of fact, I have recommend Organized By Design to many of my friends, family and my employees. I assure you, that you will not be disappointed!

Life sometimes seems to get in the way of living. I recently had the opportunity of working with Jamie in evaluating, prioritizing and finding clarity in both my personal and professional responsibilities. Jamie’s ability to coach you in finding clarity in identifying essential versus non-essential responsibilities has been priceless in organizing my life!

As a single working mother, I have been overwhelmed with trying to find balance in my life. In our sessions Jamie has astounded me with her great advice. She is able to pinpoint and break down what seems to be a complex problem, and gives doable step by step solutions. She has helped me see things from a more clear perspective, and has helped me find realistic solutions to achieve the balance I have been looking for. Jamie truly has a gift!

I have had wonderful success referring my clients who have ADD and ADHD to Jamie for organizational coaching and services. My clients have reported improved focus and direction and an overall sense of competence in managing their lives. Jamie has a solid understanding of learning differences and employs this in her work. She has great rapport with her clients and facilitates confidence building through patient, empathic, and competent guidance.

My wife and I engaged Jamie Tabish to help improve support of our son Patrick’s executive functioning skills as he completed his recovery program in Salt Lake City.  Our own residence was in Atlanta/Sarasota so we needed local area professional support for our son’s transition to independent living.  Patrick struggled with organizing, prioritization and follow through, which are all critical to his recovery and the goal of an independent life.

We found Jamie to be very nurturing, but she was also a practical help in relation to our son’s unique needs.  She worked weekly and sometimes more often as needed, to help him focus and learn the ongoing organizational and executive functioning skills he needed to acquire.

Specifically, Jamie helped Patrick learn public transportation system to get to his part-time job as well as more effective time management.  She helped him with grocery shopping skills, and cooking nutritious meals. She also helped him with court appointment scheduling, preparation and court required community service options.  She developed a very good working relationship with Patrick built out of trust and accountability.

Another important area of value with Jamie is her strong ability to communicate openly and with clarity.  This was especially important to us given our remote location to our son. We had weekly calls with Jamie so she could update us on Patrick’s progress and struggles.  This added greatly to our peace of mind while we were so far away and unable to be there face to face.

In summary, we would highly recommend Jamie’s executive functioning counseling as a critical success support factor in the transition of your loved one’s recovery process.

We were introduced to Jamie, while our son was living in a sober living facility.  He was struggling to complete his high school requirements necessary for graduation. He was overwhelmed and unable to organize his time and work. Jamie helped him to set goals and get worked submitted, earning his high school diploma.

When it was time for him to leave the sober living facility, we knew he wasn’t ready to come home, so Jamie continued weekly sessions. She has helped to maintain ongoing weekly structure and accountability, since we live out of state. It is comforting to know that she keeps on eye on him as he transitions to living on his own and is no longer supported by the sober living community.

Jamie has established a bond with our son. She sets clear boundaries and expectations. My son summed up Jamie when he said, “She helps me do things I never thought I could do!” We are so thankful to have Jamie’s support.

Like a lot of women, I wasn’t diagnosed with ADHD until my mid 30s, long after my education finished and deep into my career. In other words, I spent close to four decades not understanding how my brain works or why I am how I am.

I was always unorganized, always beating myself up for not remembering things, and always pretending like I knew what was going on. Depression was another constant in my life. Despite all this, I managed to finish college and land a string of good jobs. In each position, I’ve been able to find workarounds that have helped me “get by,” if not thrive. Until this latest job.

This job is way too complicated. There are too many moving parts, too many things to follow up on, too many instances seemingly every hour of every day in which I must shift my focus from one thing to another — and actually keep working in spite of all the distractions and excuses to procrastinate.

Yes, it was this job that finally led to my ADHD diagnosis. Turns out I wasn’t just a screwup who couldn’t get her act together. I had a disorder, and everything wasn’t my fault.

I felt relief and hope, but also regret, anger, sadness, and confusion. What might have been? All those years… What if I’d gotten interventions and medication? Could it all have been different? Or at least less miserable and more productive?

Jamie gets all of that. Not only can she help you get organized, she can help you understand ADHD itself better. There have been many many times during an appointment with Jamie when I’ve said something negative about myself and she’s said “That’s your ADHD.” This steers me toward positivity by allowing me to get out of my head and kind of look down on the bigger picture.

And then, without judgement, she’ll guide you back out in a way that infuses you with hope.

Jamie is a godsend.

We hired Jamie two years ago to work with our son who was then 22 years old. He had recently completed rehab and sober living to move into an apartment. My husband and I were very worried about many things – relapse, managing money, time and life’s stressors. He had never lived on his own or experienced juggling bills, school, medical system and work. At 22, he did not want practical guidance from his mother! In addition, we live in a different state.

Meeting with Jamie weekly, in the beginning, was mandatory since we were supporting him to get back on his feet. For the last year, our son has voluntarily met with Jamie every week and enjoys having the extra help while feeling independent. He is paying his own rent and expenses, is stable, sober, working and going to school. I don’t believe he could have done it without Jamie.

Jamie is smart, articulate and caring. She communicates with us when there is an issue and is always willing to give us the time to discuss any topic. She has even helped him navigate finding doctors. Jamie also assisted him with finding and buying a car! It gives us piece of mind to know Jamie will alert us if anything goes wrong and is helping him regain his confidence and footing in the world.

Every week, I get an amazing amount of letters, press kits, books and emails. I previously had no method of sorting and filing, so everything just went into piles on my desk and floor.

The space made me edgy and I often wasted valuable time searching for items only to find them days later when it was too late. Jamie helped me create a filing system that fits my specific job and my personality. After nearly 2 years, the system still works. It is relaxing to sit at my desk. I am more efficient. And my co- workers are always commenting on my clutter-free cubicle.

Working with Jamie was great! She has really helped us, not only to get organized, but to stay that way. The work flow is a lot smoother now and files are much easier to find. I would definitely recommend her services.
